You MUST exfoliate your skin before you come in for your tan. There are many different types of exfoliating mitts available on the market today but the one EO Tan recommends is the MicrodermaMitt. The mitt will remove the top layer of dead skin so you have a clean surface for the sunless solution to adhere too. You KNOW this mitt is working because you can see the dead skin roll off. I recommend using the MicrodermaMitt up to 24 hours before your tan. Do NOT use this mitt right before your tan.
Step 2 - Pedicure and Manicure
Step 3 - Bathe Correctly
Step 4 - Makeup
It is best not to apply any makeup before your tan. Doing so can cause that barrier I talked about. If you must wear makeup it is okay to wear eye products, and lip products.
Thank you and I hope this helps you prepare for your next airbrush tan. For more information on airbrush tanning and tanning tips please Click Here.

Make sure you get your pedicure and manicure out of the way. Otherwise, the scrubs, acetone and other liquids used by the nail salons will rub some of the airbrush tan from your skin. Keep in mind that after your airbrush tan, you cannot take a shower, go to the gym and sweat, or have any sort of liquid drip on you for 8-10 hours.

Please take your shower as close to your appointment as possible. Taking a shower hours before your appointment (for example, before you go to work) could affect how dark and even your tan turns out. simply because we sweat, we produce oil, we put lotion on, etc. Remember, your body naturally releases oils from your skin to protect it. This creates a barrier from the sunless solution absorbing correctly into your skin and developing like it should.
If you need to shave, please do so. Once you are done shaving you will want to prepare your skin for tanning with a sunless scrub. There are many different sunless scrubs on the market, just make sure you use one that is dedicated to sunless tanning; NOT facial or body scrub (such as St. Ivory). Click Here for sunless scrub. It is best if you can shower and use the sunless scrub as close to your appointment as possible.
Let's use an analogy to help you understand. Now, imagine painting your walls in your house with a high gloss paint. After it is dry I want you to paint it again with another color and see how it turns out. You will notice it looks streaky and almost impossible to get coverage. Well, your skin is the same way when you have a lot of oil or makeup blocking the sunless solution from doing its job. Now, imagine painting a wall with Kilz Primer. Once the primer is dry start painting the wall. You will notice that the paint is easy to apply and you get even coverage. Once again, this is just like your skin. Your are using a primer (sunless scrub) to get your canvas ready to be painted.
Before Your Spray Tan, DO NOT use bar soaps, fragrance body wash, hydrating body wash or anything that hydrates or moisturizes your skin.

Thank you and I hope this helps you prepare for your next airbrush tan. For more information on airbrush tanning and tanning tips please Click Here.
